Fledglings in GOLD (framed 23k pigment print)

Now in a Central Florida private collection, this 9 x 6.5 inch pigment ink print on 23k gold-leafed paper is from an original charcoal drawing by AB Word. The frame is repurposed wood moulding and a newly shaped window insert, both of which Barrie has gilded with 23k gold leaf and finished with polychrome and heavy Spanish patina.

Barrie debuted and taught this gilding and printing process during the West Coast Art & Frame Expo and The National Conference in Las Vegas Tuesday morning, January 24, 2017. Barrie's participation in that event was sponsored by Society of Gilders, Hahnemühle USA, Easy Leaf, and by a grant from Wyoming Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts, through funding from Wyoming State Legislature.
