Barrie will occupy Booth 129 in the Expo hall most likely adjacent to the Society of Gilders booth. Barrie will feature his yakisugi (shou sugi ban) charred cedar frames, Thomas Molesworth-style "cowboy chic" frames, steel and wood combination frames, gilded tondos and other gilded frames. This is Barrie's first time attending as an exhibitor and it's a big leap in his career. He is a contributing writer to Picture Framing Magazine and has features about Edvard Munch's frames on four versions of The Scream in the December 2025 issue and Gustav Klimt's The Kiss in the January 2026 issue. The magazine will feature his yakisugi frames in March or April 2026. This will be a rare opportunity to see Barrie exhibiting his fine work. The Expo has brought him to teach in gilding in the past, especially with his Prints on Hand-Gilded Paper process, in 2017, 2018, and 2020. Please stop by the booth to have a conversation with Barrie or to just say hello and to see his frames, photography of the Great American West, and other innovations.

This group exhibition was installed December 28, 2022 to coincide with the January 2, 2023 inauguration of 2nd term Governor Mark Gordon. Although it was scheduled to remain in the Capitol throughout the state legislative session and into April, 2023, the response has been so positive that the show has been extended to stay on view at least through October 2023. How about them apples?
